Hello, my name is Jennifer Daunch. I live in the mountains of Northeast Georgia . I have a wonderful family: my husband Stephen, my 4 boys and our daughter.
I began my journey with dogs in 1989 when my husband bought our first golden retriever puppy for me . This began my passion for the breed. Previously as a child I grew up with an unbelievable variety of animals as my large family loved all types of animals. I first started in the breed as a pet owner. After several years I was introduced into the world of showing dogs. After buying my first show puppy and attending a few shows I was hooked!! Many years later, as my boys got a little older, they asked could they have a smaller breed. My first response was" no way" as I had always been a “big dog" person. As I consulted some of my dog friends they suggested I look into Cavaliers as they had the temperament of a Golden Retriever. I then discovered that there were many people in the show world that had both of these breeds.
I got my first Cavalier in 2002. We fell in love with this breed right away!!! They are absolutely a wonderful breed!! The first two that I purchased are now champions. One of the puppies that I bred got a Judges award of merit at the 2006 national. He is a champion as well. I am very grateful for the wonderful opportunity that friends gave me with such a great start in this breed.
My first priority in my breeding program is good health and temperament. I feel that since most of these dogs will be in loving pet homes this has to be the number one priority. I look very carefully at pedigrees to try to put together the best possible combination that I can. All of my dogs have health clearances that are suggested by the parent clubs I belong to. I am a member in good standing with the Atlanta Golden Retriever Club, AGRC ,the Atlanta Cavalier Club as well as the CKCSC USA. I take my responsibility as a breeder very seriously!!
My puppies are all born in our home and socialized very well by my 5 children as well as myself. My children are home schooled and our family has lots of time to spend with our beloved dogs. Our dogs are part of our family, not part of a kennel.
